Oh my Goodness , I don’t even know where to begin writing a review for this beautiful villa, and
I’ve been remiss because of that dilemma.
Fellow traveller, this is an amazing villa. Searching for a special place to stay in the north, after
plenty of stays in the south, I came across Villa Beten Bukit. At first, I honestly thought, it’s too
good to be true, but WOW, it’s exactly what we want.
From my initial contact with Lisettte she was immediately responsive and informative, offering me a
very fair rental price, and I booked directly with her, which was super easy. During our email
exchanges, It was obvious that Villa Beten Bukit is special because it is not just Lisette’s pride and
joy, it’s also her passion and her 2nd home. she even organised scooters for us which were waiting
when we arrived at the villa. It was an unexpected treat that Lisette came to meet us in Legian,
with her driver Ketut. He was unbelievable, getting us up to Pemuteran in super heavy traffic (and
also back to the airport a week later ! ).
Arriving in the villa was a delight. We were greeted by Putu, who was very excited to show us the
property, which is so much more beautiful than any photograph can capture. The gardens there are
truly lovely, with so many birds…..like, so many! From the masses of tiny swallows who come
each morning and afternoon to take a sneaky bath in the swimming pool to the lovely little water
birds who hop across the water lily pads, it’s all paradise times a kazillion.
Lisette arranged for Illuh to prepare a meal for us as we were coming in the late afternoon, and it
was the perfect welcome. Illuh is a very caring and gentle person, cleaning and cooking in the
most unassuming and mindful way. Her food is delicious, fresh and simply prepared, and she is so
happy to be able to please you. Even the way she laundered and carefully folded our clothes was
so beautiful!
Putu also cooked for us, going out early to the local market to buy us a fabulous fresh fish, which
he barbecued to perfection, a must have meal while you are there. He is very helpful, and just a
phone call away, being very unobtrusive.
The Villa itself was much more than we needed, just my husband and I, so we only used the 1st
bedroom,which was very comfortable, a huge bed, with a mosquito net, and plenty of hanging/shelf
space for our clothes. The ensuite bathroom was great too, open to the stars, but spotlessly clean
and private, as is the entire villa.
You’ll be spoiled for choice (like me) where should you lie down to read a book, or the news on
your phone, or even to take a sneaky nap? Whatever you’re after, it’s all here, lounges, chairs, day
beds, umbrellas, absolutely everything, everything. And don’t get me started on the pool, let’s leave
it at when you get in, you wont want to get out.
Hanging by the front door there are 4 KOSHI WINDCHIMES (http://koshi.fr/). i researched them
once i returned home because they are the most delightful chimes I’ve ever heard. Although they
are a small detail, i think they’re a significant one, because just like this entire villa, they are
understated perfection.
Thank you Lisette for your generous hospitality, and congratulations on creating this impressive
sanctuary, I just hope I will have the chance to return.

Last February we spend two weeks in your villa Beten Bukt in Pemuteran. What a place!

We must say, that this stay was really a magnificent experience for us. The lie of the house, the staff and the other people, the surroundings, the service, the weather, everything was above our expectation. We already dream of a next visit and we sure have more books to complete your library.

We appreciate your efforts for the local people in the Pemuteran Foundation, a schoolbus is a very nice purpose and we have seen that it is necessary.

Villa Beten Bukit was a perfect place for our family to spend the New Year’s holiday. Our toddler boy learned to swim in the huge swimming pool within three days! We loved the pool so much we swam at least twice a day! The pool is surrounded by a beautiful tranquil garden full of birds chirping in the morning. Iluh, the housekeeper, makes wonderful breakfasts and other meals. We stayed for 8 days so it would have been even better if she could come up with something more creative for the breakfast.  The villa is really close to the beach where you can just chill or even snorkel, the dock for snorkeling trip at Pulau Menjangan is reachable in 30 min drive. I do recommend the snorkeling trip to Pulau Menjangan. Coral bleeching is definitely happening, but there are tons of variety of fish and some corals are still quite colorful. One more tip, pls do bring mosquito repellant with DEET, especially in rain season. We didn’t get bitten by mosquitoes but something else. Still it didn’t ruin our beautiful memory at this villa. We stayed in this gorgeous house in Pemuteran for 3 wonderful nights. The owner, Lisette, was an excellent communicator and had things very organized when we arrived at the house. The staff was friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. The woman who cooked breakfast was efficient and made delicious breakfast food for our family. The house is very clean and tidy with absolutely amazing gardens and grounds. The views of the moutains just can not be beat. We spent one afternoon just climbing the mountain, which is right behind the house, with the kids. We had friends who stayed in one of the beachside hotels and honestly, this house was just so much better. Lisette helped us organize a great snorkeling trip to Menjagan as well and there is a very handy book with lots of recommendations of restaurants and activities in the area.  We highly recommend this house and hope to go back (as we live in Bali and plan to visit the North coast often).

Een bezoek aan Bali is een belevenis. Het is een relatief klein eiland met toch grote verschillen. Na aankomst op het vliegveld kun je snel belanden in een grote drukte met waanzinnig verkeer vooral door de zwerm aan scooters. Mondain en luxe zijn de resorts en het winkelcentrum doet westers aan. Maar ga je naar het noorden, naar Permuteran dan vind je de rust en schoonheid die je waarschijnlijk zoekt. De villa is prachtig gelegen aan de voet van een berg. Van alle luxe voorzien. De verzorging is uitstekend. De bevolking is vriendelijk en zeer behulpzaam. De tuin van de villa is een oase van rust met een heerlijk zwembad. ‘s avonds en ’s nachts kun je heerlijk wegdromen en fantaseren als je door de duisternis diep het heelal in kunt kijken. Kortom als je van rust en natuur wilt genieten, van luxe en goede verzorging met toch ook de mogelijkheid op korte afstand kunst (Ubud) en uitgaansleven ( Seminyak) te bezoeken dan is Pemuteran en zeker de villa een uitstekende keuze.

Stayed in this beautiful villa during 1st wk Aug 2016. Perfect location as this part of Bali does not receive herds of tourists that you find in the south. Having Menjangan Island within the hour and Pemuteran Beaches at 900 mtr this place is a perfect location for those who like diving or snorkeling. House comes fully equipped and fully serviced. Situated on a large plot, this place will unwind even the busiest persons. For those who love to keep control, the WiFi will enable you to keep track of what happens abroad.

 

We stayed for 1 week in Villa Beten Bukit and we have had a wonderful time! The road to reach the Villa is a little bit bumpy, so you are a little bit strained: “where are we going?” Really… you will never expected to find Paradise at the end of the road!!! WOW was my first reaction. It is a beautiful Villa with everything what’s needed to get totally “relaxed”. The Villa is all surrounded by nature, the sound of the birds, the gecko’s and the whispering of the wind. We enjoyed our stay to the max! Really try the nice dishes of Iluh and don’t forget to ask Putu for some nice trips to do in the area. With a lot of beautiful memories we went back home. Thank you so much for an amazing stay in the Villa.

We spent one week in this exceptional villa in Pemuteran, Bali. This beautiful location together with the amazing staff of the villa makes sure you will have a fantastic holiday. Everything has a perfect fit at this location. Are you looking for tranquility, beauty of nature, beautiful location in proximity to the beach, great diving/ snorkeling locations nearby, away from perhaps the more hectic locations in Bali, this is the utmost and perfect place to stay. The enormous -and daily well taken care of- garden with numerous places to relax and lounge while enjoying both flora and fauna, the villa itself is large enough with different terraces and areas and thus an exceptional opportunity for a relaxing holiday. Putu, the manager of the location takes care of everything while planning your daily activities. You can enjoy a delicious breakfast and if wanted lunch and dinner as well! The villa is clean and well taken care of as well. The owner has created a paradise in Bali that is overwhelming. We were very thankful that we were able to spend a week in this fantastic surroundings and will certainly come back.

I stayed at the lovely villa beten Bukit for 10 amazing days. My days started with an early morning swim in the beautiful saltwater pool surrounded by most exotic nature. Even had a private yoga lesson early morning in the garden. Then a delicious breakfast with good baleens coffee prepared by the cook Iluh on the veranda with amazing garden and mountain view. The scenery was so meditative and relaxing. I could have spent my whole day like this. What more can you wish from your holidays? The villa setting is superior having the luxury of a 5 star hotel with your own cook, gardener, driver etc. but on the other hand privacy of an villa with freedom of outdoor life and nature. I loved the fact that the villa is actually middle of the normal Balinese life in a small seaside village with all facilities you need for a relaxing but active holiday. Most days I took the bike to my activities like making a temple tour what at the end was a “bikram cycling” due to the humidity but so much fun. Also had amazing massages to discover some mussels I was not even aware of but now I know! Not to speak about body treatments you can undergo for no price. I discovered a new hobby and that is snorkling- what an amazing coral ! Even though I was alone I never felt alone due the hospitality and superior service from each of the staff members. Big appreciation! Once you have experienced this paradise you will want to come back! There are no words to describe how much this place has done to me. Thank you for the opportunity to experience this !
